Get to know Rheumatologist Dr. Ira Fenton, who serves patients in Illinois.

Being a fellowship-trained rheumatologist, Dr. Fenton is in practice with Deerbrook Medical Associates. He sees patients at the offices in Vernon Hills and Round Lake, Illinois, offering a wide range of services. In partnership with Advocate Health Care, the doctor is affiliated with Advocate Condell Medical Center and Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. Formally trained in family medicine physician, Dr. Fenton’s education and training is in osteopathic medicine. Following the completion of his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1978, he performed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Chicago Osteopathic Hospital. This was followed by a fellowship in rheumatology at the Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1982, and an additional fellowship in rheumatology at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University in 1983. A Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, he is board-certified in rheumatology by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM).
